MICHAEL ESPINAL, ESQ.

Position: Managing Attorney

Michael is originally from Miami, Florida where he completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University (“FIU”). While at FIU, Michael was the Editor-In-Chief of FIU’s StudentsWrite news publication from 2009-2012. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in 2012, Michael became a high school English teacher at Miami Sunset Sr. High for the 2012-2013 academic calendar year. In 2013 he matriculated into Barry University’s Law School program where he focused his studies on trial practice such as arguing Florida Evidence and Florida Procedure in court-room settings with real judges garnering multiple Book Awards including the Book Award for Trial Courtroom Skills under the tutelage of Federal Judge John Antoon II.

Michael dedicated his law school Thesis to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and its impact on gender and age discrimination in the workplace. After admission to the Florida Bar, Michael worked as an associate at a Miami-based law firm, focusing primarily on homeowner’s insurance litigation where he first-chaired multiple jury trials. Eventually Michael became a named-partner, and expanded his practice of law into the field of personal injury law. Ultimately, Michael expanded his practice of law to also involve criminal defense, and is now the managing attorney of Espinal Law Firm, serving the entire state of Florida in all matters related to personal injury, criminal defense and homeowner’s insurance claims. Having represented multiple clients in multi-million dollar claims, in 2023 Michael gained recognition as a life member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a distinction held by 1% of attorneys nationwide who have been lead counsel in cases that resulted in a recovery of a minimum of at least $1,000,000.00.
